These days the major wireless carriers are requiring expensive data plans for many of their users – even those with the simpliest of phones. This idea is not going over well with many cell plan consumers; especially in this economy. There is hope though as low-cost, pay-as-you-go wireless carriers are continuing to offer cheap cell phone plans that are getting more attractive every day.

Cricket is soon to anounce the first $30-per-month unlimited nationwide talk and text plan. MetroPCS offers a $40-per-month plan and TracFone Wireless offers one at $45-per-month. The price difference in these plans is sure to lessen as cheap, unlimited cell plan price wars ramp up.
Pre Paid Wireless Also a Money Saving Option
The pre paid wireless customer base is growing about five-times faster than the the contract cell plan base. Not only do these customers see immediate costs savings but without a cell plan contract; they are able to drop a plan quickly if a better rate comes along.
