Consumer Cellular announced today that it has added the Samsung A177 to its lineup. This is the provider’s first QWERTY style phone. It has a 2.2 inch display, speakerphone, Bluetooth, and a VGA camera.

The monthly service on the phone will be $40 (in addition to the $35 activation fee).

The service offer of Consumer Cellular is very cheap. However, I still believe that Just5 phone is a smarter choice when it comes to finding the most reliable cell phone for seniors. Its features and functionalities are specially designed for the convenience of the older adult users. Of course, Just5 phone doesn’t cost a lot as well. In fact this is reasonably priced. More about this phone can be learned at http://www.just5.com.

The best deal is SVC, a Trac Fone.

This is not just my opinion but AARP’s too!

Only $20 for the phone and about $7 a month. Easy to use and great coverage.

Mother loves it and so do we, as we can now keep in touch whenever.

    Thanks!

The best cell phone for seniors is the SVC from Tracfone as, apart from big, east to push buttons, large text and louder sound it is linked to the 911 emergency location assist to keep them safe! The phone only costs $14.99 from K-Mart and service is a mere $7.00 a month!

As an AARP member, I do value their opinion. I know that Tracfone has been around for a while and that speaks volumes about the company. I’m not sure how long this senior value cellphone has been around. It’s nice to see that they are marketing to the senior population since so many just go without because of the costs. Now, it’s easy to get without a contract and affordable to maintain on a monthly basis. I don’t make that many calls so this will work great.
